Genesis 23: Sarah's Burial

Sarah died at Hebron at 127 years old, and Abraham mourned and wept for her. Abraham, a sojourner in the land, asked the Hittites for a burial place. He respectfully bought the field of Ephron with the cave of Machpelah for four hundred shekels of silver and buried Sarah there. This was the first piece of the promised land Abraham owned.
