Ezra 10 · Grade 3
Hope for Israel
Read the Story
While Ezra prayed and wept before God's house, a very great crowd of men, women, and children gathered. They wept bitterly too.
A man named Shecaniah told Ezra that they had sinned against God. But he said there was still hope for Israel. He told Ezra to arise, because they were with him. He told him to be brave and do what was right. Ezra made the leaders promise to obey.
All the men of Judah and Benjamin came to Jerusalem within three days. They sat in front of God's house, trembling because of their sin and because of the great rain. Ezra told them to confess to Yahweh and do His will. They answered with a loud voice that they would do as he said. Leaders then worked through each family's case.
Memory Verse
