Ezekiel 35: Against Mount Seir

God told Ezekiel to set his face against Mount Seir, the mountain country of Edom. Edom had kept up a lasting hatred against Israel and had handed the Israelites over to the sword in the time of their disaster. Edom also said that the two nations and two countries, Israel and Judah, would be theirs to possess, even though Yahweh was there. Edom boasted against God and multiplied words against him, and God said, I have heard it. Because Edom rejoiced when Israel's inheritance became desolate, God said Edom would also become desolate. Then they would know that he is Yahweh.
