Exodus 24 · Grade 2
A Promise at the Mountain
Read the Story
Moses told the people all of God's rules. All the people said together that they would do everything God had said! Moses wrote God's words in a book.
Early the next morning, Moses built an altar. He set up twelve stones, one for each family group of Israel. He read the book to the people. Again they promised to obey.
Then God called Moses up the mountain. A cloud covered the mountain. God's glory looked like a fire on top. Moses went into the cloud. He stayed with God for forty days and forty nights.
Memory Verse
“Moses went up on the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain.”
