Grade 5The Covenant Ceremony

  1. What did Moses build at the foot of the mountain? An altar with twelve pillars for the twelve tribes
  2. How was the blood used in the ceremony? Half on the altar, half on the people
  3. What words of Jesus echo Exodus 24:8? Jesus' words about his blood of the covenant (Matthew 26:28).
  4. What did the elders do in God's presence? They saw a vision of God and ate and drank, a covenant meal.
  5. What did God's glory look like to the people? Like devouring fire
