Ephesians 5 · Grade 3
Imitators of God
Read the Story
Paul said, Be therefore imitators of God, as beloved children. An imitator is someone who copies. Children often copy their parents. We should copy God's love. Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us.
Paul warned them to stay away from sin and silly, unkind talk. Instead they should give thanks. He said, You were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.
Be wise with your time. Be filled with the Spirit. Sing psalms, hymns, and songs to God. Give thanks always for all things. Paul also said that families should love and honor one another.
Memory Verse
“Walk in love, even as Christ also loved us and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance.”
