Deuteronomy 28 · Grade 3
Blessing and Warning
Read the Story
Moses promised that if Israel listened to God's voice, God would set them high above the nations. They would be blessed in the city and in the field. Their children, crops, and animals would be blessed. Their basket and bread bowl would be blessed.
God would open His good treasure in the sky and send rain in its season. Enemies would flee before them seven ways. Israel would lend to many nations and not borrow. They would be the head and not the tail.
But Moses also gave a long warning. If they would not listen to God, curses would come instead. There would be sickness, no rain, and defeat. At last they would be scattered among the nations. God wanted them to choose obedience and blessing.
Memory Verse
