Amos 6 · Grade 3
Not Grieved for Joseph
Read the Story
Amos said, Woe to those who are at ease in Zion. Israel's leaders felt safe and proud.
They lay on beds of ivory. They ate the best lambs. They sang songs and drank wine in bowls. But they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph. They did not care that the nation was hurting.
God said, I abhor the pride of Jacob. The feasting and lounging will end. They had turned justice into poison.
Memory Verse
“Woe to those who are at ease in Zion, and to those who are secure on the mountain of Samaria, the notable men of the chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel come!”
