Amos 2 · Grade 3
They Sold the Needy
Read the Story
After the nations, Amos spoke to God's own people. Judah rejected Yahweh's law, and have not kept his statutes.
Then Israel. They sold the righteous for silver, and the needy for a pair of sandals. They were unfair to the poor and denied justice to the oppressed.
God reminded them of His care: I brought you up out of the land of Egypt and led you forty years in the wilderness. He raised up prophets. But the people commanded the prophets, saying, Don't prophesy!
Memory Verse
“Also I brought you up out of the land of Egypt and led you forty years in the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.”
