Seven Good Helpers

Name Date

Read the Story

The church was growing. Each day food was shared with the widows. But some widows were left out.

The apostles called everyone together. They said to choose seven men to help. The men must be full of the Spirit and wisdom.

The church chose seven men. One was Stephen. The apostles prayed and laid hands on them. God's word grew and grew.

Stephen was full of faith and power. He did great signs. Some men told lies about him. But his face looked like the face of an angel.

Memory Verse

“Stephen, full of faith and power, performed great wonders and signs among the people.”
