What I Have Seen and Heard

Name Date

Read the Story

Paul spoke to the crowd in their own language, and they became quiet. He said he had been taught the law carefully. He had once chased and arrested people who followed the Way.

On the road to Damascus, a great light from the sky shone around him at noon. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?" It was Jesus.

Paul could not see, so his friends led him into Damascus. Ananias came and said, "Brother Saul, receive your sight!" Paul could see again. Ananias said Paul would be a witness to all people of what he had seen and heard.

Paul said the Lord sent him far away to the Gentiles. Then the crowd shouted against him. The commander took Paul inside to question him. Paul said he was a Roman citizen. The commander was afraid, and the next day he brought Paul before the council.
