2 Timothy 2 · Grade 3
A Worker for God
Read the Story
Paul told Timothy to be strong in God's grace. He should teach faithful people, who could teach others too. Paul said to be like a good soldier who works hard. A runner must follow the rules. A hardworking farmer gets the first crops.
Paul told Timothy to remember Jesus Christ, who rose from the dead. Paul was in chains for preaching. But God's word is not chained! Paul said if we die with Jesus, we will live with Him. Even if we are not faithful, He stays faithful.
Paul told Timothy to work hard to please God. He should use God's word the right way. Paul said to run from wrong desires. Chase after what is right, with faith, love, and peace. God's servant should not fight but be gentle to all.
Memory Verse
“Give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn’t need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth.”
