2 Thessalonians 1 · Grade 3
Strong in Hard Times
Read the Story
The letter opens with the names Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy. They wrote to the church in Thessalonica again. They thanked God because the believers' faith was growing so much. Each one's love for the others was growing, too.
Paul told other churches about them. These believers stayed faithful even when people treated them badly. Paul said God is fair. He will give rest to His people when the Lord Jesus comes from heaven with His angels.
Paul prayed for them always. He prayed that God would make them worthy of His call. He prayed that God would help them do good things by faith. He wanted the name of Jesus to be honored in them.
Memory Verse
“Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”
