2 Corinthians 9 · Grade 3
Sowing and Reaping
Read the Story
Paul told the Corinthians he was proud of how ready they were to give. He sent friends ahead so the gift would be ready, given freely and not forced.
Paul said giving is like planting. Whoever plants a little will harvest a little. Whoever plants a lot will harvest a lot. Paul wrote, Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
God is able to give His people more than enough. Then they can do every good work. Their gifts help others and make many people thank God. Paul said, Now thanks be to God for his unspeakable gift!
