2 Corinthians 12: Strength in Weakness

Paul describes a man in Christ who was caught up into paradise and heard things too sacred to tell. Though he could boast about such revelations, Paul chooses to boast only in his weakness. To keep him from becoming proud, he was given a thorn in the flesh. Three times he pleaded with the Lord to take it away, but the Lord answered that His grace is sufficient, for His power is made perfect in weakness. So Paul delights in weaknesses and hardships for Christ's sake, because when he is weak, then he is strong. Paul then explains that he seeks the Corinthians themselves, not their money, and he fears finding unrepented sin when he visits.
