2 Chronicles 7 · Grade 3
If My People Pray
Read the Story
When Solomon finished praying, fire came down from heaven. It burned up the offering. Yahweh's glory filled the house, and the priests could not go in.
All Israel saw the fire and bowed with their faces to the ground. They worshiped and thanked Yahweh, saying he is good and his loving kindness endures forever. They kept the feast for seven days.
Then Yahweh appeared to Solomon at night. He said if his people humble themselves, pray, seek his face, and turn from their wicked ways, he will hear from heaven. He will forgive their sin and heal their land.
Memory Verse
“For now I have chosen and made this house holy, that my name may be there forever; and my eyes and my heart will be there perpetually.”
