1 Timothy 2 · Grade 3
One God and One Mediator
Read the Story
Paul wrote that the church should pray for all people. They should ask God for help and give thanks. They should pray for kings and all leaders. Then believers can live quiet, peaceful lives that honor God.
This is good and pleases God our Savior. He wants all people to be saved and to know the truth. There is one God. There is one go-between who brings God and people together. That is Christ Jesus. He gave Himself to pay for all.
Paul wanted men everywhere to pray. He said to lift up holy hands without anger or arguing.
Memory Verse
“I desire therefore that the men in every place pray, lifting up holy hands without anger and doubting.”
1 Timothy 2:8 (WEB)
