1 Thessalonians 5 · Grade 3
Pray Without Ceasing
Read the Story
Paul said the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. No one will expect it. But believers are children of light. They are not in darkness. So they should stay alert and ready.
Believers put on faith and love like armor, and the hope of salvation like a helmet. God chose them to be saved through Jesus. So they should encourage one another and build each other up.
Paul gave short commands. Respect your leaders. Be at peace. Help the weak. Be patient with all. Do not pay back evil for evil. Always rejoice. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks. Paul said God is faithful and will make them holy.
Memory Verse
“In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.”
