Help from God

Name Date

Read the Story

Reuben was Israel's firstborn son. But because of a wrong he did, his firstborn rights went to the sons of Joseph. Judah became the strongest, and a prince came from Judah.

Reuben, Gad, and half of Manasseh lived east of the Jordan. They went to battle with the Hagrites. They cried to God in the battle, and He answered them because they put their trust in Him.

Later these tribes turned away from God. They followed the gods of the land. So God let the king of Assyria take them away. They lived far away until the day the book was written.

Memory Verse

“They were helped against them, and the Hagrites were delivered into their hand, and all who were with them; for they cried to God in the battle, and he answered them because they put their trust in him.”
