This chapter has a long list of names. In the list is a man named Jabez. He was more honorable than his brothers.

Jabez prayed to God. He asked God to bless him. He asked God to be with him. He asked God to keep him from evil.

God gave Jabez what he asked. Some other men looked for grass for their sheep. They found good, quiet land.
