1 Chronicles 27 · Grade 3
Month by Month
Read the Story
Israel's army had twelve divisions. Each division had twenty-four thousand men. Each one served the king for one month of the year.
Each tribe had a leader. David did not count those twenty years old and under. Yahweh had said he would make Israel as many as the stars of the sky.
David had officers over the fields, the vineyards, the olive trees, the cattle, the camels, and the flocks. Jonathan, David's uncle, was a counselor. Hushai was the king's friend.
Memory Verse
“But David didn’t take the number of them from twenty years old and under, because Yahweh had said he would increase Israel like the stars of the sky.”
