Watching God's House

Name Date

Read the Story

God's house had many gates. Helpers kept watch at the gates. They kept God's house safe.

They drew lots to pick each gate. Small and great drew lots the same. God blessed Obed-Edom with many sons.

Some helpers kept the treasure of God's house. Some were judges for the people. Everyone had a job.

Memory Verse

“They cast lots, the small as well as the great, according to their fathers’ houses, for every gate.”

1 Chronicles 26:13 (WEB)
