Skillful Singers
Read the Story
David and the leaders set apart the sons of Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun. They were to prophesy with harps, stringed instruments, and cymbals. They gave thanks and praised Yahweh.
God gave Heman fourteen sons and three daughters. They were all under their father for song in Yahweh's house. Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman served under the king.
There were two hundred eighty-eight who were taught to sing to Yahweh. They cast lots for their turns. The small and the great, the teacher and the student, were all treated alike.
Memory Verse
“They cast lots for their offices, all alike, the small as well as the great, the teacher as well as the student.”
