1 Chronicles 20 · Grade 3
The Sons of the Giant
Read the Story
In the spring, Joab led the army against Rabbah, the city of Ammon. David stayed in Jerusalem. David took the crown of their king. It weighed a talent of gold and had precious stones.
Later there were wars with the Philistines. Some of the enemies were sons of the giant. One was the brother of Goliath.
One man at Gath had six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot. He mocked Israel. David's nephew Jonathan defeated him. These giants fell by the hand of David and his servants.
Memory Verse
“These were born to the giant in Gath; and they fell by the hand of David and by the hand of his servants.”
