Tell of His Works

Name Date

Read and Think

When the ark was set in the tent, David gave offerings to God. He blessed the people in Yahweh's name. He gave every man and woman a loaf of bread, a portion of meat, and a cake of raisins.

On that day David first ordained giving of thanks to Yahweh by Asaph and his brothers. Their psalm calls God's people to give thanks, call on his name, and make his deeds known among the peoples. It tells them to remember his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

The song then calls all the earth to sing to Yahweh and declare his glory among the nations, because the gods of the peoples are idols, but Yahweh made the heavens. It ends with, Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good (16:34). David left Asaph to minister before the ark continually.
