1 Chronicles 16 · Grade 3
Sing to the Lord
Read the Story
They set God's ark inside the tent David had made. David offered gifts to God and blessed the people in Yahweh's name. He gave everyone a loaf of bread, meat, and a cake of raisins.
David chose Asaph and his brothers to give thanks to Yahweh. The song says to call on his name and tell what he has done. It says to sing to him and tell of all his marvelous works.
The song calls all the earth to sing to Yahweh. It says Yahweh made the heavens. It ends by saying to give thanks, for he is good and his loving kindness endures forever. All the people said Amen and praised Yahweh.
Memory Verse
“Oh give thanks to Yahweh. Call on his name. Make what he has done known among the peoples.”
