1 Chronicles 14 · Grade 3
David Inquired of God
Read the Story
Hiram king of Tyre sent cedar trees, masons, and carpenters to build David a house. David knew that Yahweh had made him king. His kingdom was lifted up for the sake of God's people Israel.
The Philistines came to fight David. David asked God if he should go up. God said to go up, and David won. God helped David win.
The Philistines came again. David asked God again. This time God told him to go around and wait by the mulberry trees. When he heard a sound of marching in the tops of the trees, he was to go out. David did as God commanded him.
Memory Verse
“David perceived that Yahweh had established him king over Israel, for his kingdom was highly exalted, for his people Israel’s sake.”
