1 Chronicles 13 · Grade 3
The Ark on a Cart
Read the Story
David talked with the leaders. He said they should bring back the ark of God. They had not sought it in the days of Saul. All the people agreed.
They carried the ark on a new cart. David and all Israel played music before God with all their might. But the oxen stumbled, and Uzza put out his hand to hold the ark. God had told Israel not to touch it. David learned to honor God's rules.
David was afraid of God that day. He did not take the ark to his city. It stayed at Obed-Edom's house for three months. Yahweh blessed his house and all he had.
Memory Verse
“Also, let’s bring the ark of our God back to us again, for we didn’t seek it in the days of Saul.””
