King Saul had a big battle. It was on Mount Gilboa. Saul and his sons died in the battle.

Kind men from Jabesh came. They buried Saul and his sons under a tree. They fasted for seven days.

Saul did not keep God's word. He did not ask God for help. So God gave the kingdom to David.
