1 Chronicles 1 · Grade 3
From Adam to Abraham
Read the Story
First Chronicles begins with a long list of names. It starts with Adam, the first man. Then it names Seth, Enosh, and many more, all the way to Noah.
Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Each son had a family that grew and grew. One name is Nimrod, who began to be a mighty one on the earth.
Shem's family led to Abram, also called Abraham. Abraham's sons were Isaac and Ishmael. Isaac's sons were Esau and Israel. The list shows that God kept track of every family.
