Zechariah 4 · Grade 3
Not by Might, Nor by Power
Read the Story
The angel woke Zechariah like a man waking from sleep. Zechariah saw a lamp stand all of gold. It had seven lamps on it and two olive trees by it.
Zechariah asked, what are these? The angel gave Yahweh's word to Zerubbabel. Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says Yahweh of Armies. Zerubbabel's hands had laid the foundation of God's house. His hands would also finish it.
God asked, who despises the day of small things? The angel said the two olive trees are the two anointed ones who stand by the Lord of the whole earth.
Memory Verse
“Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, “This is Yahweh’s word to Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says Yahweh of Armies.”
