Favor and Union

Read the Story

God told Zechariah to care for a flock. The owners of the flock did not pity the sheep. So Zechariah fed the flock, especially the oppressed ones.

He took two staffs. He called one Favor and the other Union. But the people did not want him. So he broke the staff called Favor.

Zechariah asked for his wages. They weighed out thirty pieces of silver. God said, throw it to the potter. Then Zechariah broke the staff called Union. God warned, woe to the worthless shepherd who leaves the flock!
