Zechariah 1 · Grade 3
Kind and Comforting Words
Read the Story
Zechariah 1:1 says Yahweh's word came to the prophet Zechariah in the second year of Darius. God said, return to me, says Yahweh of Armies, and I will return to you. He told them not to be like their fathers, who did not listen.
Zechariah had a vision in the night. He saw a man riding on a red horse among myrtle trees. Behind him were more horses. An angel talked with Zechariah. The angel asked how long it would be until God showed mercy to Jerusalem.
Yahweh answered the angel with kind and comforting words. God said, I have returned to Jerusalem with mercy. My house shall be built in it. God also said, my cities will again overflow with prosperity.
Memory Verse
