Song of Solomon 5 · Grade 3

The Best Among Ten Thousand

Name Date

Read the Story

Some women asked the bride a question. How is your beloved better than another beloved?

She said that he is the best among ten thousand. To her, no one else was like him.

She said, This is my beloved, and this is my friend. God made marriage to be a friendship for life. In the New Testament, marriage is a picture of Christ's love for His church. Many Christians read the Song this way too. This is an interpretation, not something the Song says directly.

Memory Verse

“How is your beloved better than another beloved, you fairest among women? How is your beloved better than another beloved, that you do so adjure us?”

Song of Solomon 5:9 (WEB)
