Song of Solomon 3 · Grade 3
Solomon's Carriage
Read the Story
Who is this who comes up from the wilderness like pillars of smoke, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense? Behold, it is Solomon's carriage!
It was made of the wood of Lebanon, with silver, gold and purple.
The king wore the crown his mother gave him. It was the day of the gladness of his heart. In the New Testament, marriage is a picture of Christ's love for His church. Many Christians read the Song this way too. This is an interpretation, not something the Song says directly.
Memory Verse
“Go out, you daughters of Zion, and see King Solomon, with the crown with which his mother has crowned him, in the day of his weddings, in the day of the gladness of his heart.”
