A Heart of Wisdom

Name Date

Read the Story

The title of Psalm 90 calls it a Prayer by Moses, the man of God. Lord, you have been our dwelling place for all generations. Before the mountains were born, before you had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.

For a thousand years in your sight are just like yesterday when it is past. People are like new grass. In the morning it sprouts. By evening, it is withered and dry. Our years pass quickly.

So Moses prays, Teach us to count our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Satisfy us in the morning with your loving kindness, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. Establish the work of our hands.

For families: talk about these together.

  • Moses begged for as many glad days as sad ones. How can you trust God to bring joy after a hard time?
  • What do you hope God will do in your family?
