Psalms 9 · Grade 3
Thanks With My Whole Heart
Read the Story
The title says this psalm is for the Chief Musician and that it is a Psalm by David. David says he will give thanks to Yahweh with his whole heart. He will tell of all God's marvelous works. He will sing praise to God's name, O Most High.
David says God has maintained his just cause. God sits on the throne judging righteously. When enemies turn back, they stumble. Yahweh reigns forever. He will judge the world in righteousness.
Yahweh is a high tower for the oppressed in times of trouble. Those who know his name will put their trust in him. He has not forsaken those who seek him. He doesn't forget the cry of the afflicted. The needy shall not always be forgotten.
Memory Verse
“Those who know your name will put their trust in you, for you, Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you.”
