Psalms 82 · Grade 3
Rescue the Weak and Needy
Read the Story
The title of Psalm 82 calls it a Psalm by Asaph. God presides in the great assembly. He judges among the gods. God speaks to those who were supposed to judge fairly.
How long will you judge unjustly, and show partiality to the wicked? Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy.
The unjust judges do not understand. They walk in darkness. They will die like men. The psalm ends, Arise, God, judge the earth, for you inherit all of the nations.
