Psalms 7 · Grade 3
A Righteous Judge
Read the Story
The title says this is a meditation by David, which he sang to Yahweh. It was about the words of Cush, the Benjamite. David says, Yahweh, my God, I take refuge in you. He asks God to save him from all those who pursue him.
David says that if there is iniquity in his hands, let the enemy chase him. He asks God to arise and judge. He asks God to judge him according to his integrity. God searches minds and hearts. David says, My shield is with God, who saves the upright in heart. God is a righteous judge.
David describes a wicked man. He digs a hole and falls into the pit which he made. The trouble he causes returns to his own head. David ends with thanks. He will sing praise to the name of Yahweh Most High.
