When My Heart Is Overwhelmed

Name Date

Read the Story

Psalm 61 is by David, as the title says. He prays, Hear my cry, God. Listen to my prayer. He feels far away, at the end of the earth. His heart is overwhelmed.

He asks, Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. A high rock is a safe place. God has been his refuge and a strong tower from the enemy.

David wants to dwell in God's tent forever. He will take refuge in the shelter of God's wings. He will sing praise to God's name forever and keep his promises every day.

Memory Verse

“From the end of the earth, I will call to you when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”
