Psalms 60 · Grade 3

God Gives a Banner

Name Date

Read the Story

The title of Psalm 60 calls it a teaching poem by David. The title tells about battles with Aram and Edom. The people felt like God had rejected them. They prayed, Restore us, again. Mend the land, for it quakes.

God gave a banner to those who fear him. A banner is a flag that people gather around. They asked God to save with his right hand.

God spoke from his sanctuary. He said the land was his. The people prayed, Give us help against the adversary, for the help of man is vain. Through God we will do valiantly.

Memory Verse

“You have given a banner to those who fear you, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.”
