Psalms 59 · Grade 3
A Refuge in Trouble
Read the Story
The title says Saul sent men to watch David's house to kill him. David prayed, Deliver me from my enemies, my God. He said he had done no wrong.
The enemies came back each evening. They howled like dogs and prowled around the city. But Yahweh laughed at them. David said, Oh, my Strength, I watch for you, for God is my high tower.
David knew God would go before him. So he said, I will sing aloud of your loving kindness in the morning. You have been my high tower, a refuge in the day of my distress.
Memory Verse
“But I will sing of your strength. Yes, I will sing aloud of your loving kindness in the morning. For you have been my high tower, a refuge in the day of my distress.”
