Psalms 58 · Grade 3
Most Certainly There Is a God
Read the Story
The title of Psalm 58 calls it a poem by David. It asks the rulers, Do you judge blamelessly? The answer is no. They plot injustice in their hearts. Their words are like the poison of a snake.
David prays that God will stop their harm. He asks God to make their arrows blunt. He wants them to vanish like water that flows away.
In the end, people will see God's justice. They will say, Most certainly there is a reward for the righteous. Most certainly there is a God who judges the earth.
Memory Verse
“No, in your heart you plot injustice. You measure out the violence of your hands on the earth.”
