Psalms 52 · Grade 3
A Tree in God's House
Read the Story
The title says David wrote this psalm when Doeg the Edomite told Saul where David had been. Doeg spoke to hurt David. The psalm talks to a man who boasts of mischief. His tongue is like a sharp razor. He loves lying more than speaking the truth.
But God's loving kindness endures continually. God will pluck the proud man out of his tent. The righteous will see that this man did not make God his strength. He trusted in his riches.
David says, I am like a green olive tree in God's house. I trust in God's loving kindness forever and ever. David promises to thank God and to hope in his name.
Memory Verse
“But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in God’s house. I trust in God’s loving kindness forever and ever.”
