Psalms 43 · Grade 3
God, My Exceeding Joy
Read the Story
Psalm 43 has no title in the text. The writer prays, Vindicate me, God. Deliver me from deceitful and wicked men. For you are the God of my strength. He feels rejected and goes mourning. Then he asks, Oh, send out your light and your truth. Let them lead me. Let them bring me to your holy hill.
Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my exceeding joy. I will praise you on the harp, God, my God. He tells his soul, Why are you in despair, my soul? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him: my Savior, my helper, and my God.
Memory Verse
“Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my exceeding joy. I will praise you on the harp, God, my God.”
