My Own Familiar Friend
Read the Story
The title says this psalm is For the Chief Musician and is A Psalm by David. Blessed is he who considers the poor. Yahweh will help him in the day of evil. Yahweh will care for him when he is sick. David said, Yahweh, have mercy on me! Heal me, for I have sinned against you.
David's enemies whispered against him. Even his own familiar friend, who ate bread with him, turned against him. But David said, You uphold me in my integrity, and set me in your presence forever. Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, forever!
