Psalms 40 · Grade 2

Out of the Mud

Name Date

Read the Story

The title says this is a Psalm by David. David said, I waited patiently for Yahweh. God heard his cry. God lifted David out of a deep pit and the sticky mud. He set his feet on a rock.

God put a new song in David's mouth. Many people will see it and trust God. David said God's wonderful works are more than he can count. He said, I delight to do your will, my God.

Memory Verse

“He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay. He set my feet on a rock, and gave me a firm place to stand.”
