Psalm 34's title says it is By David, when he pretended to be insane before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed. Out of that hard moment David says, I will bless Yahweh at all times. He invites others, Oh magnify Yahweh with me. Let's exalt his name together. He tells his story simply: I sought Yahweh, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. This poor man cried, and Yahweh heard him.

Next David becomes a teacher. Oh taste and see that Yahweh is good. Come, you children, listen to me. Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies. Depart from evil, and do good. Seek peace, and pursue it. In the New Testament, Peter quotes these lines to teach believers how to live (1 Peter 3:10-12). David promises that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart and delivers the righteous out of all their troubles.
