Psalms 22 · Grade 2
My God, My God
Read the Story
The title says this is a Psalm by David. David felt very alone. He cried, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Mean people laughed at him.
David still trusted God. He said, You are my help. Hurry to help me! Then David praised God. He said God hears when people cry to him. Future generations shall be told about the Lord. In the New Testament, Jesus said the first words of this psalm on the cross (Matthew 27:46).
Memory Verse
“For he has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, neither has he hidden his face from him; but when he cried to him, he heard.”
