Psalms 20 · Grade 3
Some Trust in Chariots
Read the Story
The title says this psalm is for the Chief Musician and is a Psalm by David. The people pray for their king: May Yahweh answer you in the day of trouble. May he send you help from the sanctuary and grant you your heart's desire. In the name of our God, we will set up our banners.
The king says, Now I know that Yahweh saves his anointed. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we trust in the name of Yahweh our God. Those who trust in chariots are bowed down and fallen, but we rise up and stand upright. The psalm ends, Save, Yahweh! Let the King answer us when we call!
